INTRODUCTION
One of the physiotherapy techniques that most attracts our attention when applying a treatment to our patients is undoubtedly spinal manipulation with impulse. From the clinical point of view, we have been applying these techniques on joints with a significant restriction of the range of joint amplitude. But the approach to the most recent research studies of these techniques allows us to know more precisely all the benefits of their use.
General objective
- Know the importance of Vertebral Manipulation techniques to optimize the results of the physiotherapist’s treatment.
- Raise awareness of the importance of these techniques being in the hands of professionals, that is, physiotherapists and practically essential for physiotherapists who are experts in manual therapy.
- Although the course is eminently practical, an attempt will be made to establish a correlation of its applicability in the most frequent pathologies, such as degenerative arthropathies or disc dysfunctions.
Specific objectives
- Make known the Neurophysiological effects of spinal manipulation, as well as its indications and contraindications.
- To know the repercussion and immediate clinical benefits of these techniques, such as the reduction of pain, the neurovascular reflex, the influence on posture and especially on the gain in joint movement.
